This day-long mini Yoga retreat has everything you need to prepare your body mind and soul as the seasons change and we head towards another long Canberra Winter!
Set at one of Canberra’s most scenic and spectacular locations, the Yoga Big Day Out is the perfect opportunity to experience all of the benefits of a yoga retreat without having to go too far.
Join four of Canberra’s best Yoga teachers as they guide you through a day exploring Yoga, meditation and the foundations to living a healthy, happy lifestyle in the lead up to Winter.
What ever your level of experience with yoga, you are welcome to join!
From 8.30am-4.30pm you’ll be expertly guided through a range of both strong and restorative yoga practices to help you feel energised and relaxed.
You’ll have the chance to mentally and physically challenge your limits through fun, in-depth yoga workshops and learn some techniques for stress reduction and mood management through guided meditation.
Experience how Yoga philosophy can help you live a calmer, more balanced and joyful life.
Our intention is that you will leave feeling reconnected, rejuvenated and reenergised!
Fully catered with delicious, healthy vegetarian food sourced from the local region from the renowned Boat House by the Lake chefs, the Yoga Big Day out is a great way to seasonally update your diet, deepen your understanding of Yoga and enjoy some relaxing time out in the stunning surrounds of the the Boat House, overlooking Lake Burley Griffin.

Is there an age limit to enter the event?
The Yoga Big Day Out is open to all ages. Minors may purchase a concession tickey but must be accompanied by a ticket paying adult for the full day.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Transportation is not included in the cost of the retreat. We encourage car-pooling and are happy to assisit with matching ride-sheing opportunities. Please contact us if you would like to offer or ask for a ride!
There is FREE PARKING available at the entrance to The Boat House by the Lake.
What can/can’t I bring to the event?
Please bring your own yoga mat and towel. Consider also bringing a towel or blanket to keep warm.
Please do not bring alcohol or cigarettes to the event. This is an alcohol and smoke free event.
You are welcome to bring a camera as you will be asked to turn off your mobile phone for the duration of the event.
Is the retreat suitable for beginners? What if I haven’t done yoga before?
If you are willing to come with an open mind and a desire to learn the Yoga Big Day Out will be perfect for you. ‘In the beginners mind there are many possibilities, in the experts there are few’.
The physical practices can be taken at your own level of challenge, suitable to the physical circumstances of your body. There will be a range of Yoga styles practiced from Power Vinyasa to Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and both active and seated Meditation.
If you’re coming with a medical condition or injury and haven’t practiced yoga before, please consult your healthcare privider for advice on whether Yoga is a suitable activity for you.
Is it ok to come on my own?
You are welcome to come on your own and enjoy the opportunity to connect with like-minded people.
Do you have payment plans?
If you would like to come but would prefer to pay in instalments, please contact me and we’ll work out a suitable payment plan for you.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations with full refund are available up to 7 days prior to the retreat on April 10. As full payment for the event is made 7 days before the event, no refunds are available for cancellation within 7 days or failure to attend the event.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes. Please contact me to notify us of the name change.
